Dorothee Oberlinger hat längst bewiesen, welch abwechslungsreiches und virtuoses Instrument die Blockflöte ist. Für ihre herausragende Musikalität wurde sie 2008 mit dem Echo Klassik als Instrumentalistin des Jahres ausgezeichnet. Sowohl Fachpresse als auch Musikliebhaber überschlagen sich mit Lob. »Barocke Freuden! Charpentier's Te Deum written in the bright key of D major features a four-part choir and eight soloists. It displays the composer's total command of religious music combined with a gift for melodic writing. Brilliant and majestic, yet profound, this Te Deum (Charpentier wrote four Te deums) was probably composed to celebrate the victory at Steinkerque in August 1692 during the wars against the countries of the League of Augsburg. [The struggle would eventually be in vain; and Strasburg, and the Palatine succession lost to France].

I do not want to start too many hares running, but I suggest that if a newcomer to opera listened to La Traviata and then Il Trovatore, one after another, he or she would quickly identify the composer as one, no matter the different moods and key register. If the same listener did the same with Die Zauberflöte and La Clemenza di Tito I doubt that the listener would identify the works as being by the same composer.

Just what is a Faun, you ask? That would be the flute-playing mythical creature who is half goat and half human. That is fantasy, the reality is Faun are a German neo prog band born in 1992 comprising of Christoph Roth (vocals, key board and percussion), Steffen Schuerkens (drums, vocals and guitar) and Helmut Weinlaender (bass and guitars) in Wuerzburg. In 1993 they added Marko Brenziger (guitars and keyboards) and Evelyn Ott (flute and keyboards) to round out the band. Making their mark in small clubs and festivals, the band experienced their first real taste of the big time with an appearance at famous Wuerzburger Kulturjahrmarkt (KuJa), a three day music and theater event. About a year later, Ulrich Miksa (sound, live-mix, arrangement, keyboards) joined and was in charge of the live sound for the band.

Après une tournée de près de 200 dates en Europe et au Canada et un album de duos certifié or, Julien Clerc a retrouvé avec bonheur les chemins de la création. Il a composé des chansons, travaillé avec quelques-unes des plus belles plumes de la chanson française Carla Bruni, Clara Luciani, Marc Lavoine, Bernard Lavilliers, J.Cherhal etc. et rejoint Marlon B. (Juliette Armanet, Brigitte, Louis Chedid) pour la réalisation de son nouvel album. 1er extrait « Mon Refuge », texte signé Clara Luciani. Une chanson solaire et universelle d’un artiste dans les cœurs depuis plus de 50 ans maintenant.

C’est sous le nom de son album initial que l’on trouve la compilation des œuvres quasi complètes de la « Grande sauterelle », telle qu’elle est parue au sein du coffret Actrices, réunissant en sept CD des albums ou compilations de Brigitte Bardot, Isabelle Adjani, Jane Birkin, Jeanne Moreau, Catherine Deneuve, Charlotte Gainsbourg et, donc, Mireille Darc.
