After four albums, Budgie had achieved moderate success in the U.K. with their unique combination of Black Sabbath heaviness, progressive rock flashes, and bizarre sense of humor. But 1975's Bandolier found the band pursuing a more conventional rock sound with a noticeable funk influence…

Bandolier is Budgie's fifth album, released in September 1975 through MCA Records. It reached #36 in the UK and was certified gold in 1976. The album was released in the US on A&M Records (now owned by MCA successor Universal Music Group, while the MCA label itself has been absorbed into Geffen Records, which like A&M is currently a subsidiary of Interscope Records) in late 1975. The song "I Can't See My Feelings" was covered by Iron Maiden on the b-side to their 1992 single, "From Here to Eternity".

Heavier Than Air: Rarest Eggs is a double-disc set containing nothing but previously unreleased Budgie songs. There are both live recordings and studio outtakes on the collection, with the live cuts outnumbering the studio material by a wide margin. There's nothing particularly revelatory here, and it is certainly just for Budgie fanatics, but they'll likely be pleased by this well-assembled set. Heavier Than Air: Rarest Eggs is an album of compiled live tracks spanning Budgie's career. We Came, We Saw… is a companion to this album.

We Came, We Saw… is an album of compiled live tracks by the Welsh rock band Budgie, culled from their performances at the Reading Festival in 1980 and 1982 respectively, with an emphasis on songs released during that period rather than the band's older, more well-known work. Heavier Than Air - Rarest Eggs is a companion to this album. These tracks were later included, along with others, on the 2006 collection The BBC Recordings.

Budgie is the debut album of British hard rock band Budgie. It was released in June 1971 through MCA Records. The US version on Kapp Records includes "Crash Course in Brain Surgery", originally released as a single and covered by Metallica on their 1987 EP Garage Days Re-Revisited. "Homicidal Suicidal" has also been covered by the Seattle grunge band Soundgarden. Canadian band Thrush Hermit covered "Nude Disintegrating Parachutist Woman" on the album All Technology Aside, included on the 2010 "The Complete Recordings Box Set". The opening track "Guts" as well as "Homicidal Suicidal" can be seen as precursors to doom metal.

Having acquired a small cult following with its first album, Budgie offered a second dose of abrasive, forceful heavy metal that, like its predecessor, drew on influences ranging from Cream to Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin. Budgie was a band that loved contrasts – the folk-ish qualities of "Make Me Happy" and the Beatlesque "Rolling Home Again" make hard-driving classics like "Hot as a Docker's Armpit," "Drugstore Woman," and "Rocking Man" seem all the more intense. For all its strengths, Squawk didn't turn Budgie into the well-known outfit it should have been. Budgie's followers were a devoted bunch, but unfortunately, there weren't nearly enough of them.

In for the Kill! is Budgie's fourth album. It was released in May 1974. It includes a re-recording of the song "Crash Course in Brain Surgery", originally released in 1971 as a single. The song was covered by Metallica for their 1987 The $5.98 E.P Garage Days Re-Revisited, while the album's title track was covered by Van Halen during the group's club days.

The Last Stage is a compilation of unreleased Budgie tracks, mostly from the early-to-mid eighties. Many of these tracks were intended to be released on the follow-up to 1982's Deliver Us from Evil, a follow-up that never saw the light of day. The track "Beautiful Lies" was supposedly meant to be included on the album but never made it. It was previously made available on the Budgie compilation album An Ecstasy of Fumbling - The Definitive Anthology. The sound quality varies from track to track, as each song was at a different level of completion before it was scrapped. However, most (if not all) of the tracks would be considered very good bootleg quality or better.
