BRITISH PARACHUTE FORCES 1940-45 describes the uniforms and equipment of the legendary 'Red Devils' from the inception of airborne forces in the British Army, through Arnhem and the crossing of the Rhine, to the end of the Second World War. Every aspect of the distinctive clothing and accouterments designed to meet the specific requirements of these crack paratroopers is meticulously detailed in carefully arranged sections, the first of which gives the historical background of their exploits. Black and white action photographs appear throughout the text, and there are two sections illustrating individual items of uniform, badges and insignia in full color.
