Cabiria

Nino Rota was an Italian composer, pianist, and conductor who is best known for his film scores, notably for the films of Federico Fellini and Luchino Visconti. Music compilation from Fellini's main films, sach as "Amacord", "La Dolce Vita", "8½", "La Strada", "Nights of Cabiria", "Boccaccio 70".

Come spiega Giovanni De Luna in Cinema Italia, di fronte a Cabiria lo storico finisce per «aggirarsi tra quelle immense scenografie, fiutando non l’aria del III secolo a.C. ma quella carica di odori e di miasmi pestiferi del primo Novecento, di quella incredibile e paradossale stagione in cui stava finendo l’Ottocento e fragorosamente e maledettamente stava nascendo il terrificante XX secolo»..

Alexandre Tharaud is a French pianist whose repertoire spans composers from Bach to Chopin to Thierry Pécou, a contemporary of Tharaud's. In 2012, he was featured on the soundtrack for the Academy Award-winning film Amour, performing the works of Bach, Beethoven, and Schubert. He also appeared on camera in the film, as himself. Tharaud was born in Paris to performance artists on December 12, 1968. His grandfather was a violinist, his mother taught dance at the Paris Opera, and his father participated in community operettas as a singer, then as a director.
