Great classical repertoire, discoveries, chamber music, concert literature at the very highest level: violinist Renaud Capuçon inspires as a soloist in all areas. He celebrated the power of world harmony with Bach's concertos and the modern counterpart by Peteris Vasks, allowed styles to communicate with each other with the concertos by Beethoven and Korngold as well as Brahms and Berg, and ensured one of the most high-profile large-scale chamber music projects of recent years with a complete recording of the Beethoven sonatas. He is now continuing on this path - alongside the young, multi-award-winning Georgian pianist Khatia Buniatishvili.
Cellist Gautier Capuçon is accompanied on this album by Jérôme Ducros on piano. The album also features the Maitrise de Notre Dame on Schubert's 'Ave Maria' and the Orchestre de chambre de Paris with conductor Adrien Perruchon.
This album of popular short pieces provides a memento of the first French lockdown in 2020: Renaud Capuçon and pianist Guillaume Bellom performed on social media each day, raising the spirits of their fans. Ideal for streaming, the collection includes music by Enrico Morricone, Charlie Chaplin, Carlos Gardel, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov and Schumann.
The Ensemble Ouranos was founded in 2014 by five young soloists, studying at the Paris Conservatory, eager to explore the great wind quintet repertoire. Each of its members has been individually rewarded in major international competitions, and they have collaborated with some of the best players of their generation, producing colorful and resolutely personal interpretations of the chamber music repertoire.
