Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday at Newport - "Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday in Newport") is a joint live album by Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday, released on the Verve Records label in 1958 under the studio number MGV-8234. The recordings were made on July 4, 5 and 6, 1957 at the Newport Jazz Festival.

It features a splendid vocal cast with Jennifer Larmore as the title character, an irresistible Samuel Ramey (who was a specialist of the role he sung dozens of times on stage all over the world) as Escamillo, and one of the most convincing Micaëlas of the discography by Angela Gheorghiu, in her first studio recording.

Recorded from a new edition of a rare manuscript held in the vast collection of the National Library of Austria, in Vienna, the manuscript is not widely known by exponents of music of this period.

André Cluytens (pronounced clue-ton) was a Belgian-born conductor who rose from leading a theater orchestra to become one of the more important orchestra leaders in Europe during the 1950s and 1960s, with equally enduring contributions in both the concert hall and the opera house. Born in Antwerp in 1905, he trained as a pianist at the Royal Flemish Conservatory and in his teens served as assistant to his father, the conductor at the Royal Theater in Antwerp.
