Catch The Killer

The young women come to New York with a suitcase and a dream, determined to make it on the heartbreak street called Broadway. Many of them, as this cautionary noir points out, fall prey to career predators. Stage Struck zeroes in on the murder of one hopeful and of two overlapping investigations to catch the killer: one by persistent police detectives; the other by the victims intrepid sister who poses as a footlight hopeful, signs on with the same talent agency her sibling used and infiltrates the dead girl’s bright but illusory world.

Tory (Forlani), who has a gift for psychic visions, returns to her hometown to make peace with her troubled past and put to rest the ghost of Hope, her brutally murdered childhood friend. She soon discovers that Hope's death was only the first in a string of murders that have continued every year since that terrible day and the sociopath has been waiting patiently for Tory's return. Psychologist Bill Capa gives up his practise when he unintentionally pushes a patient to commit suicide. In an effort to come to terms with this tragedy he visits an old colleague, Bob Moore, who is subsequently murdered. The quest to catch the killer centres around a group of Moore's psychologically disturbed patients, however equally as important is an affair which develops between Capa and the mysterious Rose. This relationship, at first a diversion, becomes central to the plot as the film progresses.
