Celtic Rock

Celtic Pink Floyd is a project devoted to the arrangement of classic Pink Floyd songs with a Celtic rock twist. Traditional instruments such as; uilleann pipes, fiddle, tin whistle, accordion, banjo, dulcimer, bodhrán, mandolin, and bones are utilized, as well as contemporary vocals, guitars, bass and drums. Started simply as a "crazy, but just may work" idea, Celtic Pink Floyd has some amazing vocalists and musicians contributing their expertise to this twelve-track CD. Arrangers, producers and musicians, Damon Stout & Brian Stout are the guilty parties behind the madness, all while working in conjunction with producer Michael Vail Blum to form a hybrid of traditional Celtic music combined with classic rock.

Excalibur II: The Celtic Ring is the second part of a "Celtic rock opera" written and directed by Breton folk-rock musician Alan Simon.
The album was recorded with contributions from Jon Anderson (Yes), John Wetton (King Crimson / Asia), Alan Parsons, Justin Hayward from (the Moody Blues) and others.

"Rising" begins with the title song, "Rising". It is an oration about light rising against the dark and in the background mysterious music is playing. A unique way to begin a CD! Included are old-time rock favorites such as "Smoke on the Water", "Thunderstruck" "We Will Rock You" and "The Lion Sleeps Tonight". You have heard none of these songs until you have heard the bagpipes included in the renditions done by Celtica-Pipes Rock. "Rising" is the debut album from Celtic Rock Band Celtica.

In 2016, the 7th year of touring all over Europe and North America, from Florida to Alaska, after shows and video shootings in New York City and Hawaii, after 3 albums and over 1,3 million views on YouTube (counting the official videos only), it seemed to be time for a change. Steamphonia, the fourth album, takes the listener across time to the Victorian age. A magic moment when aristocratic elegance meets daring visionary passion, the steam engine promises to become the modern gate to Utopia, and here, as a scientist, you are also adventurer and romanticist. Celtica transforms this fantastic epoch into music distilled from Gothic, Steampunk, and Metal styles to break all the traditional limits of the Great Highland Bagpipe, and creates a totally new musical context for this majestic instrument.
