Chapman Love

Irrespective of the ups and downs of her career, Tracy Chapman has had one thing going for her that a number of singer/songwriters lack: a major label. This assures that she'll always get what every performer wants: a fair hearing and perhaps even radio exposure. On Let It Rain, Chapman turns in another introspective album that flows quietly from track to track and will remind listeners of New Beginning (1995) and Telling Stories (2000).

Collection is a greatest hits album by Tracy Chapman, it features tracks from her first five studio albums. The tracks include her two U.S. Top Tens, "Fast Car" and "Give Me One Reason". Other charted singles on this album include "Talkin' 'bout a Revolution", "Crossroads", "Telling Stories", and "Baby Can I Hold You".

Vocalist David Osmond, son of Alan and nephew of Donny and Marie, teams with bandleader, producer, and saxophonist Caleb Chapman for this new “contemporary big band” project. There’s More Where That Came From reimagines a host of pop and country classics (“Ring of Fire,” “You Don’t Know Me,” “The Way You Look Tonight,” “Fly Me to the Moon,” “For Once in My Life”) along with original tunes (“We Might as Well Fall in Love,” “I Need a Real Good Thing”) and even a modern-day cover (Bruno Mars’ “When I Was Your Man”). The duo is joined by a band featuring such star players as trumpeter Rashawn Ross (Dave Matthews Band) and saxophonists Jeff Coffin (Dave Matthews Band, Bela Fleck & The Flecktones) and Karl Hunter (Big Bad Voodoo Daddy).

For the Love of Life sees Alexander returning to the piano, but this time supported the forces of four string players from the Scottish ensemble Mr McFall’s Chamber, and the powerfully expressive voice of Hannah Rarity.
