Preoccupations is a Canadian post-punk band from Calgary, Alberta, formed in 2012 under the name Viet Cong. The band consists of Matt Flegel (vocals, bass), Scott Munro (guitar, synth), Daniel Christiansen (guitar) and Mike Wallace (drums). The group's musical style has been described as "labyrinthine post-punk".

Stan Getz, one of the most gifted and influential of American jazzmen of his time and a consistent favorite of the U.S. public, was living since July 1958 in a small town outside Copenhagen, where he had started a new life. Like many American expatriate jazzmen, he found the relaxed European lifestyle more conducive to his creativity; there was more time to develop and try out new ideas. It was to prove an artistically flourishing and assertive time for him.

Sandwiched between two Grateful Dead tours in early 1978, Jerry Garcia (guitar/vocals) wasted no time in assembling the concurrent incarnation of the Jerry Garcia Band (JGB) for a two-month coast-to-coast excursion. The combo included Garcia, fellow Grateful Dead members Keith Godchaux (keyboards) and wife Donna Jean Godchaux (vocals), plus Maria Maldaur (vocals), John Kahn (bass), and Buzz Buchanan (drums). This two-disc package contains the early and late shows from Palm Sunday, March 18 at the Warner Theatre in Washington, D.C. The JGB are hitting on all cylinders, as if this were Garcia's primary focus, rather than a side project.
