Cesare è lo stimato direttore del Relais Colombo, hotel di lusso di Milano. Con l’arrivo di nuovi soci cinesi intenzionati a rivoluzionare tutto, Luciana, figlia di Massimo Colombo, storico proprietario dell’hotel, licenzia per primo proprio il direttore. Cesare, rimasto senza lavoro, scopre che Luciana sta cercando per suo padre una badante, ed è disposta a spendere 5000 euro al mese pur di arginare il vivace e arzillo Massimo.

Durante le vacanze, scoprono che i rispettivi figli, Riccardo e Simone, sono fidanzati con due ragazze che hanno conosciuto grazie a un sito di incontri ma che non hanno mai visto di persona. Tornati a casa, i Colombo e gli Esposito iscrivono i loro ragazzi alla festa organizzata dal sito e fanno in modo che vi partecipino anche le ragazze.
