Cover Me: Living

Brain child of pioneering producer Ethel Gabriel, The Living Voices were one of the top acts on RCA's wildly successful Living Stereo imprint. Living Voices' albums were renowned for their ornate orchestration, innovative arrangements, and, most of all, sweeping stereo sound. "Angel Of The Morning" have been released in 1969 by RCA/Camden label and features the covers of "rock/pop" tunes, arranged and conducted by Bob Armstrong.

"Living Eyes" is the Bee Gees' 16th original album (14th internationally), released in 1981. The Bee Gees turned away from the disco sound that was prominent on their work in the middle-to-late 1970s with this album. However, the album was not a commercial success, perhaps due to their being so strongly associated with disco. It sold 750,000 copies worldwide, compared to 16 million copies of their previous studio album, "Spirits Having Flown", in 1979. While it did not sell well in either the UK or the US, the album itself was a Top 40 hit in the majority of territories in which it saw wide release. It would be the band's final album on RSO Records. The label would be absorbed into Polydor and subsequently discontinued.

Here is COVER CROP - a lyrical cover concept album of 15 songs I played, sang, engineered, and mixed alone at home in the woods. During the pandemic I started volunteering at an organic farm nearby and became intrigued by cover crops - a farmer’s way of giving back to the land they harvest from by planting something solely to nourish and enrich the soil itself; they do this regularly for sustainability and health of the land. I began looking at my own life through this lens - how am I giving back to what has given to me? I started thinking about everyone who has been such a beautiful support over the years, the land that feeds and inspires me, the many experiences around the world that so deeply fill my heart…
