Everbest Music & Media is pleased to announce our third album release, Virgil Thomson: A Gallery of Portraits for Piano and Other Piano Works. These discs feature 70 of the 110 portraits for solo piano–representing the largest collection of these piano portraits ever recorded by one artist–brought to life by Craig Rutenberg, distinguished pianist, friend, and colleague of Mr. Thomson.

Baritone Brian Mulligan's second solo recording features beloved songs of the early twentieth century. Mr. Mulligan writes: "I love the songs on this album. You don't hear them much anymore; they're usually considered to be 'old fashioned'. Most of these songs became incredibly popular through renditions by some of the greatest American baritones of all time, including Leonard Warren, John Charles Thomas and Nelson Eddy." Baritone Brian Mulligan is equally renowned as an interpreter of classic works by Verdi, Wagner and Strauss as well as of the most challenging twentieth and twenty-first century operas. His striking stage portrayals have taken him to leading opera houses throughout Europe and North America. He makes regular appearances with the leading US orchestras and in recital. His first recording, for Naxos, was Dominick Argento’s “The Andrée Expedition” and “From the Diary of Virginia Woolf”.
