Creatures of the Night is the tenth studio album by American heavy metal band Kiss, released in 1982. It is the band's last for Casablanca Records, the only label for which Kiss had recorded up to this point. The album was dedicated to the memory of Casablanca founder and early Kiss supporter Neil Bogart, who had died of cancer during the recording sessions. It is also the band's last album recorded with Ace Frehley credited as an official member (until 1998's Psycho Circus), and its first album with Vinnie Vincent as the initially uncredited lead guitarist (Vincent would later be credited but not featured on the cover of the 1985 reissue of the album). It was also the band's last album to feature the band with their trademark makeup until Psycho Circus was released.

"Creatures of the Night" was originally released on October 13, 1982 and is the tenth studio album by KISS. The last album recorded with Ace Frehley credited as an official member (but didn't perform), Creatures of the Night was an attempt by KISS to return to the hard rock style that found on their earlier albums. The album was certified gold by the RIAA in 1994, and was released to generally positive reviews.

By 1982's Creatures of the Night, Kiss had finally ditched their plans of becoming "respectable artists" (starting with 1979's Dynasty) and had come to the realization that they were a loud, no-holds-barred heavy metal band. Easily their best since 1977's Love Gun, Creatures of the Night contains very little filler and sounds as if Kiss had been reborn (it also includes one of the heaviest drum sounds ever captured in the studio by any rock band)…
