Cruel Summer

Der Teenager Danny (Richard Pawulski) bricht zu einem Campingausflug auf, um dem hektischen Leben in der Innenstadt zu entfliehen und etwas Zeit für sich alleine zu genießen. Eine Selbstverständlichkeit ist es allerdings nicht, dass Danny ohne Begleitung durch die Gegend wandert. Denn der junge Mann ist Autist und von daher nimmt er seine Umwelt ganz anders wahr als andere Menschen. In seiner Unbeschwertheit ahnt Danny jedoch nicht, dass er drei Verfolger hat, die üble Dinge mit ihm vorhaben: Julia (Natalie Martins) und Calvin (Reece Douglas) haben nämlich ein Gerücht über Danny in die Welt gesetzt, wonach dieser etwas mit der Exfreundin von Nicholas (Danny Miller) gehabt haben soll. Und der schäumt jetzt vor Wut und will Danny leiden lassen für die vermeintliche Tat. Bewaffnet stellt das Trio Danny nach und setzt so eine Spirale der Gewalt in Gang, an deren Ende es nur Verlierer geben kann…

"Flowers" is the third album by Swedish pop music group, Ace of Base. It was released in June 1998 in Europe, Asia, and Africa, and August 10 in the United Kingdom. An American version, titled "Cruel Summer", was released on September 1 and contained remixes, re-recordings, and new recordings deemed appropriate for an American audience. Japan and Australia received hybrid versions of the two albums.
