Dvēseļu putenis / Blizzard of Souls is a powerful film directed by Dzintars Dreibergs and produced by Inga Pranevska. It is the story of a sixteen-year-old Arturs, who enlists to fight in First World War with dreams of becoming a hero, but after surviving the brutalities of trench warfare and the loss of his family, he wonders if his efforts in battle were futile and if hope is only to be found in rebuilding a family and a home - as Latvia itself is born from the atrocities of war.

"Last Time I Saw Him" is a 1973 album released by American singer Diana Ross on the Motown Records. It reached #52 in the USA (#12 R&B) and sold over 200,000 copies. It also helped Ross win the 1974 American Music Award for Favorite R&B Female. The arrangements were by Gene Page, Michael Omartian, Tom Baird, David Blumberg, Bob Gaudio, James Carmichael and Paul Riser. Harry Langdon was credited with the cover photography. The album yielded the title track single "Last Time I Saw Him", a multi-format hit that reached #1 (for three weeks) on the Billboard Hot Adult Contemporary, #14 on the Hot 100, and #15 on the Hot Soul singles. It peaked at #9 Pop on the Top 100 lists for both Cashbox and Record World, as well as #10 in Radio & Records. It also reached #35 in the United Kingdom.

"Simply Streisand" is the 9th studio album released by Barbra Streisand. The album was released simultaneously with "A Christmas Album" and was Streisand's first that failed to chart in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200 when it peaked at #12. "Simply Streisand" was recorded March 14, 15 and 20th, 1967. According to Billboard magazine, Columbia Records reports a sale of nearly 250,000 in its first two weeks on the market. The album was certified Gold by RIAA in April 24, 2002.

"Starman" is a 1984 American science fiction romance film directed by John Carpenter that tells the story of a non-corporeal alien named Star Man who has come to Earth and cloned a human body (portrayed by Jeff Bridges) in response to the invitation found on the gold phonograph record installed on the Voyager 2 space probe. The soundtrack to "Starman" was released on December 14, 1984. The album also contains a rendition of "All I Have to Do Is Dream" performed by stars Jeff Bridges and Karen Allen. All music is composed by Jack Nitzsche (except "All I Have to Do Is Dream," written by Felice and Boudleaux Bryant).
