Days OF Thunder

Delicate Sound Of Thunder was recorded live over five nights in August 1988 at the Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, New York, and went on to become the first album played in space when Soviet astronauts took a copy aboard the Soyuz TM-7 mission to the Mir space station that same year. Incredible live performances that shaped the musical growth of a generation.

Delicate Sound of Thunder is a Pink Floyd concert video taken from A Momentary Lapse of Reason Tour. It was largely filmed during the concerts running from 19 August 1988 through 23 August 1988 at the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York, with some additional footage from 21–22 June 1988 at the Place d'Armes of the Château de Versailles, Versailles, France (used to provide the performance of "The Great Gig in the Sky". As remasters go, this is just such an audible splendor that no fan should be without. Gone is the muddy 80's mastering with muffled sound and dulled drums. These two disks (especially with headphones) are a treat to to the senses.

Standalone release for the reworked concert featured in The Later Years
Pink Floyd‘s Delicate Sound of Thunder live album and concert film were restored, remixed and re-edited for last year’s mammoth Later Years box set, but this November will be made available separately, across all major physical formats.
