Drakkar 2015

Drakkar is one of the first bands that promoted the now consecrated Italian power metal scene when it was just taking its first steps in the mid-nineties; however, unlike his contemporaries such as Labyrinth and Rhapsody, Drakkar remained in the depths of the underground scene despite being the band that managed to crystallize their own sound. Six years after releasing his last album, Drakkar finally reappears with his sixth work entitled CHAOS LORD (2021). The album was composed in 2019 and was supposed to be released last year, however, the current world situation led them to publish Chaos Lord until 2021. The sound is completely different from its predecessor. WHILE IN RUN WITH THE WOLF (2015) we listen to songs that are more aimed at mid-times, in CHAOS LORD we witness a deep-seated heavy / power metal with an interesting combination of melodies and riffs, as in the first bars of “Through the Horsehead Nebula”.

Nightwish are a symphonic metal band from Kitee, Finland. The band was formed in 1996 by lead songwriter and keyboardist Tuomas Holopainen, guitarist Emppu Vuorinen, and former lead singer Tarja Turunen. The band soon picked up drummer Jukka Nevalainen, and then bassist Sami Vänskä after the release of their debut album, Angels Fall First (1997). In 2001, Vänskä was replaced by Marco Hietala, who also took over the male vocalist role previously filled by Holopainen or guest singers…

Over the Hills and Far Away is the first EP by Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish, released in 2001 through both Spinefarm Records and Drakkar Records. De/Vision is a German synthpop musical group. The band started as a quartet consisting of Thomas Adam, Steffen Keth, Stefan Blender, and Markus Ganssert. They formed the band in 1988. The name De/Vision is a play on words. The majority of the band's lyrics are in English, but they have had some songs in German. Markus left the band in 2000. In the same year Steffen started a side project as the vocalists with Green Court, called 'Green Court featuring De/Vision'. The band with remaining members Thomas Adam and Steffen Keth were then signed to Drakkar Records and Sony BMG in Europe, and Dancing Ferret Discs in North America. The band is currently signed to Metropolis Records in North America. Since 1994 the band has released a new studio album of original material roughly every 1.5 years, until their latest album Rockets and Swords.

Wishmaster is the third studio album by Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish. It was released on 8 May 2000 through Spinefarm Records in Finland. The album was released in the rest of Europe by Drakkar Entertainment on 29 May, and in Japan by Toy's Factory on 19 July. In the US, it was released by Century Media on 6 February 2001…
