The Heart of the Dragon ensemble and Chinese composer Jiang Li present this elegant union of 'East meets West'. Featuring the sophisticated Chinese xiao and the Dai nation's joyous hulusi, they seamlessly blend a range of traditional Chinese music with western drums, bass, guitar, piano and strings. The result is a beautiful amalgamation of classic Chinese heritage, Dai nation folk history and western influence.

House of the Dragon is an American fantasy drama television series. An independent prequel to Game of Thrones (2011–2019), it is the second show in the franchise, created by George R. R. Martin and Ryan Condal for HBO. Both series are based on the A Song of Ice and Fire novels by Martin. Condal and Miguel Sapochnik are the showrunners. Based on parts of the novel Fire & Blood, the series is set about 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones, 172 years before the birth of Daenerys Targaryen, descendant of the eponymous royal house, and 100 years after the Seven Kingdoms is united by the Targaryen Conquest. It portrays the beginning of the end of House Targaryen, the events leading up to and covering the Targaryen civil war of succession, known as the "Dance of the Dragons".

So many soundtracks being released in the past month or so its hard to keep up with them all, the trouble being is that they are all very very good indeed, which I suppose is a nice problem to have, but how do you (1) afford them all and (2) Which ones do you decide that maybe you could live without? It’s a real problem isn’t it. THE MYSTERY OF THE DRAGON SEAL is one you will not want to miss out on, this is an epic score which is fully symphonic and contains a grandiose array of rich, lush, lavish and sweeping thematic material. It is one of those scores that one thinks where did this all came from and who is the composer? Aleksandra Maghakyan is who She is and wow what an accomplished composer She is too. She has created an opulent and lavish soundtrack, which for me rivals anything written by any one of the A lister film music composers of today.

In the Year of the Dragon 2024, pianist Lang Lang celebrates his Chinese heritage with the release of a special digital edition of all his recordings of Chinese works. The album, entitled Year of the Dragon – Songs from China, features a wealth of solo pieces as well as ensemble and orchestral works, in which Lang Lang is joined by an array of other world-renowned artists. These include tenor Andrea Bocelli and soprano Lei Jia, the China Philharmonic Orchestra and Long Yu, the Shanghai Opera House Chorus, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra and Tan Dun, and the Prague Symphony Orchestra and Alexandre Desplat.
The album’s 50 tracks span the complete original Dragon Songs album, Tan Dun’s Eight Memories in Watercolour, the Yellow River Concerto, River Waltz, as well as popular tracks from Piano Book. Further, the album includes two brand new recordings – Snowflakes and Moon is Bright Lullaby.

The Heart of the Dragon Ensemble presents beautiful and tranquil traditional pieces and new compositions played on erhu (fiddle), pipa (lute), dizi (flute), xiao (flute), sheng (mouth-blown 'organ'), guzheng (harp) and yang-qin (dulcimer).
