Doris Day packed four careers into one lifetime, two each in music and movies. The pity is that all most people remember are her movies, from Teacher's Pet (1957) onward, as the quintessential all-American girl, cast opposite such icons of masculinity as Clark Gable and Rock Hudson. She also transposed this following to television at the end of the '60s with a situation comedy that lasted into the early '70s. If most people remember her as a singer, it's usually for such pop hits as "Secret Love" and her Oscar-winning "Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be)," which became her signature tune.

"Cardiff Rose" is a solo studio album by American singer/songwriter and ex-The Byrds frontman Roger McGuinn, released in 1976. The album, produced by Mick Ronson, was recorded on the heels of Bob Dylan's Rolling Thunder Revue 1975 tour, in which both McGuinn and Ronson had participated. The album includes a pirate tale "Jolly Roger", a song about King Arthur's "Round Table", and a classic version of Joni Mitchell's "Dreamland", which later appeared on her 1977 album Don Juan's Reckless Daughter.

Mandarava Rose, Natalie Rose LeBrecht’s first album since 2010, is the culmination of a decade spent focused on meditation and explorations of inner space. In 2016, she began studying hypnosis and started mentally traveling to what she calls “extraordinary interdimensional spheres”, which she felt compelled to channel through her music. Balancing a full-time job with manifesting a new creative vision meant waking up before the crack of dawn to practice the piano and work on compositions. It took her over a year working in this way to bring Mandarava Rose to life. To help broaden the music, LeBrecht brought on two instrumental collaborators: David Lackner, who co-created the woodwind arrangements, performed them on the recordings, and helped participate in the mixing process; and Martin Bisi who co-produced, co-recorded, engineered and co-mixed the album.
