Collected is a triple-CD greatest hits album by Greek singer Demis Roussos, released in 2015 by Universal Music Group. In Belgium the album reached no. 1 in Flanders (43 weeks on the chart) and no 3. in Wallonia (58 weeks on the chart). Roussos was best known for his solo hits in the 1970s and 80s, including Forever and Ever, Goodbye and Quand Je T'aime. He was also a member of progressive rock group Aphrodite's Child. Last December, Demis compiled a collection of his most favourite songs he recorded from 1968 onwards. This is his legacy, his last contribution to the world of pop music, his selection of songs, with liner notes from his children Emily and Cyril.

The variety of musical styles represented here, covering 40 years of recording solo career is so vast, and the voice and the arrangements are so different in the respective periods and genres, that makes one wonders is this the same artist on all these recordings. Prog-rock, psychedelic, ethno pop, folk, reggae, real American disco, euro pop, funk, Latin vibes, krautrock, techno pop, French chansons and German Schlagers, new age, soul, vintage rock…and all this sung with a voice ranging from soaring warble, trough powerful full bodied sound, to gravelly soulful Joe Cocker – like delivery.

After collaborating with pal and fellow Greek star Vangelis, singer Demis Roussos continued on in the pop mode he initially plied when covering the days' hits during the mid-'60s. His profile quickly soared with several popular sides that were released in the first half of the '70s. Polygram has compiled the highlights on this 12-track roundup, making sure to include such well-known chart-toppers as "Goodbye My Love Goodbye" and "My Reason." And while Roussos never broke into the American market, his Greek-tinged form of international pop found many receptive fans throughout the Mediterranean and in Europe.
