Michael Portillo trawls through the National Archives at Kew in south-west London to dig out stories from previously classified documents.
Lizzy Borden has spent nearly 25 years creating some of the most theatrical metal in existence and in the process has become nothing short of a metal icon. Releasing classics such as Love You to Pieces (1985) and Master of Disguise (1989) and obliterating audiences worldwide with a stage show that rivals that of Marilyn Manson and Alice Cooper. The glam-poppy Lizzy Borden was also ran in the hair metal sweepstakes, but its debut album, 1985's Love You to Pieces, holds up better than many other documents from the era. Metal Blade reissued Love You to Pieces in 2002, remastering the album and adding four demo songs as bonus tracks. It's a nice reissue overall.
