Civil War era fiction used to be my favorite historical romance reading, but Sarah Sundin has changed that with her potent, tender World War II series. Her latest offering, On Distant Shores, Book Two of the Wings of the Nightingale series, only adds to my addiction. The life-or-death demands of wartime crises overwhelm a caring flight nurse, Georgiana Taylor. Georgie meets a dedicated pharmacist, Sergeant John Hutchinson, and they struggle with mutual attraction, as they are engaged to other people.
