Djeli Moussa Condé

Marie-Paule Franke (vocalist/composer) comes from a musical family. Her father was a Jewish/German cellist and played freelance in the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. Therefore, from an early age she was immersed in classical music and learned to play the piano. As a young-adult, she began to sing and soon -in a roundabout way through pop, rock, funk and chanson- Jazz became her favorite genre. In the Eighties and Nineties she took singing lessons with David Linx at the Royal Conservatory of Ghent, Belgium, and took master classes with Judy Niemack.
