Un peu sorcière, un peu voyante, celle qu'on surnomme Mangeterre possède un don hors du commun qui implique une responsabilité immense : en avalant la terre qu'elles ont foulée, Mangeterre entrevoit, lors de douloureuses transes, le terrible sort des femmes brutalisées d'Argentine. Dès lors elle est face à un dilemme : doit-elle répondre à l'appel de la terre et tenter de sauver toutes ces femmes en détresse ? Car, très vite, des parents désespérés arrivent des quatre coins du pays pour l'implorer d'utiliser son don, et de retrouver leurs enfants disparues…

Le sue apparizioni la condannano al sospetto dei vicini, al disagio con i coetanei, ma la notizia del suo dono si spande per i sobborghi di una Buenos Aires dove le vie non hanno nome e le case muoiono ingoiate dalla passiflora. Qui donne e bambini spariscono ogni giorno, in un silenzio disperato e inviolabile, mentre il giardino della piccola veggente si popola di bottiglie piene di terra: messaggi di un altro mondo cui solo lei ha accesso..

Joaquin Diaz Gonzalez (Zamora, 1947) is a Spanish musician and folklorist. Although born in Zamora, the four years he moved to Valladolid, where he studied media and academics. In the mid 60's became involved in the study and dissemination of traditional culture, especially the community of Castile and Leon, offering concerts and lectures at universities in Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, Germany, Holland and USA.

He has also dedicated several works to the repertoire of Judeo-Spanish. Has promoted traditional Spanish music on radio and television in Europe, Asia and America. In 1976 he left the live performances to focus exclusively on research and promotion of popular culture. Throughout his long career, he has published some fifty books on various aspects of oral tradition: tales, romances and songs, popular expressions, etc.., And over two hundred articles and essays in various publications. He has recorded some sixty albums and participated in the creation of so many, working with numerous performers and popular music groups.

Music has the power to bring people together from parties to protests to prayer, music is a powerful catalyst for celebration, for change, and for a sense of community. Through making music together, we become bigger than ourselves. Whether singing with our families and friends or with thousands of strangers in an arena, music transforms lives, engages individuals, and connects local and global communities.
