Greenshine is a Cork based family trio comprising Noel Shine, Mary Greene and their daughter Ellie. Their material straddles the boundaries of contemporary, folk and roots and includes many self-penned songs. The band is known for striking family harmonies and excellent musicianship. Noel is a multi-instrumentalist, turning his hand to guitar, bass, mandolin, banjo, bouzouki and traditional whistle and this musical dexterity had seen him much in demand as a session and band player by artists as diverse as The Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem and funk and soul legends The Republic of Loose amongst many others. Mary brings rhythm guitar to the mix and her voice is a wonderfully versatile instrument. She has added her talents to the albums of Christy Moore, John Spillane, Mick Hanly and Frances Black as well as cult psychedelic outfit Dr. Strangely Strange.

This obscure folk-rock artist from the late '60s left a track record of a few albums and a handful of obscure single releases, including the languid "Lyanna" and the demanding "Don't Leave Me Now." Campbell first came to prominence as a singer/songwriter on the folk club scene. He signed a contract with the interesting Fontana label, which released much cutting edge folk-rock and psychedelic music. He recorded one album and three singles for them before switching dizzily to the Vertigo label. The resulting album took a proud place in this label's catalog, right between the largely forgotten Dr. Strangely Strange and the grandly remembered Paranoid by Black Sabbath. It was definitely Campbell's most famous album, entitled Half Baked with just a note of derision. The album's title track is in turn the most well-known cut by this artist.

, that fictional Master of the Mystic Arts and later Sorcerer Supreme of the Marvel Omniverse, first appeared in Marvel's science-fiction/fantasy/suspense comic book anthology series in July 1963 as a creation of comic book legends Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. At that time Strange Tales already began featuring Marvel's Silver Age superheroes along with its sci-fi/suspense stories as backup and the first superhero regularly featured was the Human Torch of the Fantastic Four, Johnny Storm. When Doctor Strange appeared, became a "split book" format, and Doctor Strange shared billing with the Human Torch until until issue (July 1965), and then super spy Nick Fury until issue (May 1968). Strange appeared in , skipped two issues then returned in before his eight-page origin story appeared in (Dec. 1963), continuously in 9-10 page features until ; the following month Doctor Strange's adventures continued in the new full-length (the numbering from Strange Tales was just continued). In all these, I believe the Stan Lee-Steve-Ditko collaboration from through to be the best and the most original, especially with Steve Ditko's fantastic, surreal backgrounds and landscapes. All of Doctor Strange's feature appearances as handled by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko are included in this compilation, complete.

Beautiful, bizarre and strangely addictive Mullholland Drive begins as a botched hit results in the meeting of bruised brunette amnesiac Rita (Laura Harring) and blonde would-be Hollywood actress Betty (Naomi Watts – King Kong, 21 Grams). Taking the viewer on a memorable neo-noir trip through Hollywood’s dark underbelly, Lynch dispenses with a conventional narrative in favour of an hallucinogenic assault on the senses that will stay with you long after the credits roll.

This superbly produced four-disc set in Eureka's Master of Cinema series features his three very different takes on Mabuse: the five-hour Dr Mabuse, The Gambler (1922), one of the masterpieces of silent cinema which captured the malaise of the Weimar Republic; The Testament of Dr Mabuse (1933), which targeted the ascendancy of Nazism and was his last German film before going into exile; and The 1,000 Eyes of Dr Mabuse (1960), his final movie, reflecting his thoughts on the new Germany and the cold war.
