Jonathan Dee Lemon is an English-born American cartoonist and former musician. He is best known for drawing the Alley Oop comic strip. Lemon was born in Watford, Hertfordshire, England in 1965, and earned an art degree at the University of Brighton.

The story goes that there’s a man who owns over 180 drum machines, lovingly collected and curated over a span of 30 years. From must-have classics to under-appreciated rarities, this mystery man’s collection of hardware is one of the most envied in the music world. After a chance meeting in San Francisco, we pitched him the idea of dusting off his equipment to create this product and showcase these amazing machines to the world. We were honoured when he agreed to work with us on this ambitious project, meticulously recording each sound in his LA studio.

His use of house and R&B influences immediately began turning heads with his first Hospital singles Do it Again and Changes. Then, later that year, when Radio One's Fabio championed Danny's remix of London Elektricity’s Wishing Well, his status as a soulful DnB heavy-weight was confirmed. It's always been about quality rather than quantity with Danny Byrd with remixes for High Contrast and contributions to our "Weapons of Mass Creation" albums making up his select output.
