Quinto albo della collana 100 anni di fumetto italiano; il tema di questo numero è la fantascienza. E parlando di fantascienza era impossibile non scomodare uno degli ultimi 'eroi' di questo genere nati in Italia ma anche uno dei più famosi. Parliamo ovviamente di Nathan Never, fumetto di fantascienza dal taglio moderno e adulto. Ancora una volta un personaggio della Sergio Bonelli Editore si guadagna la copertina della collana ed ancora una volta si tratta di un personaggio che ha rivitalizzato un genere; come già Dylan Dog per l'horror (pubblicato sul primo albo di questa collana), Nathan Never porta una boccata d'aria fresca nel genere fantascientifico. Nel volume trova spazio un solo episodio di Nathan Never ma decisamente corposo; si tratta delle ben 250 pagine che compongono I ribelli di Marte, avventura pubblicata sul decimo Albo Gigante di Nathan Never.

Often referred as the “Swiss Beatles”, Les Sauterelles had been the undisputed kings of the scene for years. It was their resounding success that caused their downfall in the same year – a pattern that would repeat itself on and on throughout the history of pop and rock music in Switzerland. Differences over the direction in which their music was going and the sobering reality of their daily professional routine had led the group to an impasse. Their breakup heralded a similar fate for most other Swiss “beat bands” who had for years been cruising along in the slipstream of their Anglo-American models, albeit with varying degrees of success.
