A Mississippi singer/guitarist, Jessie Mae Hemphill weaves strong Delta traditions into her idiosyncratic style. Hemphill comes from a musical background - reportedly, her grandfather was recorded in the fields by Alan Lomax in the '40s. Doug The Eagle (aka Tapewolf) whose actual name appears to by J.P. Morris is a computer programmer, musician, and writer who lives in the United Kingdom. He uses a likeness of Jakob Pettersohn, his wolf incubus character, as a fursona. "More Songs About Demons" is his seventh album.

On a magical night in Montreux in 2004, Carlos Santana invited three of his favorite bluesmen: Buddy Guy, Clarence Gatemouth Brown and Bobby Parker for a concert of outstanding blues music. Each artist performed a full length concert and was joined on stage by Carlos Santana and other guests including Nile Rodgers and Barbara Morrison. July 12, 2004 was a very special night at the Montreux Festival for any blues fan. With Carlos Santana as musical director (and special guest guitarist), three musical legends took to the stage. Each one delivered a full concert set packed with some of the finest blues guitar playing you'll ever hear. Bobby Parker, Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown, and Buddy Guy are all headline acts in their own right, so it was a real coup to get them on one lineup. Throw in the guest appearances by Carlos Santana and Chic maestro Nile Rodgers, and blues heaven is complete!

The Uprising Tour ran in Europe from May 30th to July 13th 1980 with five further dates in the USA in September. It was Bob Marley s last tour before his tragically early death in May 1981 at the age of just 36. The tour was in support of the Uprising album released on June 10th 1980. A few days later on June 13th the live show from Dortmund s Westfalenhalle was filmed for the famous German music TV series Rockpalast and is presented here on DVD and CD for the first time with footage restored to the best possible quality. Bob Marley and the Wailers are on superb form and deliver a set of hit singles and classic album tracks. Marley s energetic, charismatic performance gives no indication that he was already ill with the cancer that would take his life less than a year later.
