Trio Tasis - …PORQUE Sí (2025)
WEB FLAC (tracks) - 214 MB | Tracks: 11 | 48:38
Style: Jazz | Label: Le Triton

This first album by the trio Tasis is not lacking in assets and this has not escaped the director of Triton, the jazz club of Les Lilas who wanted to release their first album under his indie label of independent music and organ. JP Vivante is committed to making known original works that could remain unknown, even unheard. PORQUE SÍ or the personal vision of tango, anchor music of the three virtuosos of this chamber trio with atypical instrumentation (bandoneon, piano, violin). They embellish their music with borrowings (their formidable musical culture allows them to) from classical music of the early 20th century (Bartok, Stravinsky …) to the song with this Parce que by Aznavour which takes on new colors under their fingers.

Fifty-three years since he delivered the bolt-from-the-blue of Roxy Music's debut LP as his calling card, Ferry's latest project is just as startlingly unexpected an arrival. On the one hand, 'Loose Talk' is his first album of new music since 2014's 'Avonmore'.

On the one hand, 'Loose Talk' is his first album of new music since 2014's 'Avonmore'. On the other, little here, from the sounds and shapes of that music, to the uses it gets put to, resembles any previous Bryan Ferry album. Then again - on the third hand - it's also a piece that is deeply rooted in his past half-century of work. 'A conversation between two artists', is how Amelia Barratt, one of the artists involved, describes 'Loose Talk'. 'Something we've created together that neither could do on our own,' adds Bryans Ferry, her interlocutor in the creative exchange. 'And, for me, it seems to have opened up a whole new chapter for my work'.
