Produced by former Pretty Things guitarist Dick Taylor, Hawkwind's first album was rightfully compared to Pink Floyd's early sound: an appealing conglomeration of hippie rock grooves and interplanetary guitar trips set to the phosphorescent wandering of Dik Mik's electronics and Nik Turner's cool sax playing. UK remastered & repackaged reissue of the British progressive rock act's 1970 album with 4 added bonus tracks 'Bring It On Home', 'Hurry On Sundown, 'Kis Of The Velvet Whip' & 'Cymbaline'. This album is historic since it is one of the first space rock LPs.

In Search of Space is the second studio album from Hawkwind, released in 1971. It reached No. 18 on the UK album charts. In Search of Space strengthened Hawkwind's science fiction-type brand of progressive rock, gaining bass player Dave Anderson and galactic poet extraordinaire Rob Calvert, while losing John Harrison at the same time.

Doremi Fasol Latido is the third studio album by English space rock band Hawkwind. It reached No. 14 on the UK album charts. Doremi Fasol Latido may not be Hawkwind's most renowned album, but it carries the same type of prog rock spaciness as their first two releases. Even though the keyboard playing is trimmed down just a tad, the introduction of Ian Kilmister, otherwise known as Lemmy of Motörhead fame, makes up for it.

It is their fourth album, reached #9 in the UK album charts and briefly dented the Billboard Top 200, peaking at #179. The original classic is now digitally remastered with 3 bonus tracks and sounds even better than ever.

Hall of the Mountain Grill is the fourth studio album by space rock band Hawkwind, released in 1974. It is regarded by many critics as a career highlight (in studio). This album signalled the introduction by the band of more ambient and melodic tracks, or parts of tracks than we were used to. By doing so, the band demonstrated that they were in fact extremely adaptable, and not the "Status Quo" of acid rock previous offerings may have implied.

Rhythm & Blues / Soul / Jazz / Early R&B / Soul Jazz

This four-CD, 100-song set is the best representative body of work ever assembled (or ever likely to be assembled) of the R&B and soul releases from Henry "Juggy Murray" Jones' Sue Records. The range of sounds runs the gamut from ex-Drifter Bobby Hendricks' first hit for the company ("Itchy Twitchy Feeling") in 1959, through the string of hits by Ike & Tina Turner, to the company's last hits some seven years later. Not only is every chart single that the label ever had represented, but so are club hits from the mid-'60s and solo sides by uniquely New York-associated figures. The contents of the box are almost ideal, along with their arrangement – in contrast some other box sets, this one follows strict release order, which is a great way to follow the history of the label (though not ideal for anyone, apart from owners of multi-disc players, who simply wants to hear the label's best-known tracks in one sitting).
