"Guilty" is the 22nd studio album by American singer Barbra Streisand released on September 23, 1980 by Columbia Records. It was produced by Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees and his group's regular production team of Albhy Galuten and Karl Richardson. After the success of the Bee Gees in the late 1970s, there was some time to write songs for other artists and Streisand, one of those artists, asked Gibb to write an album for her. It became her best-selling album to date internationally, with sales of 15 million copies worldwide as well as spawning several hit singles. According to the liner notes of Barbra's retrospective box set: Just for the Record, the album also received a record certification in Austria, Brazil, Denmark, Israel, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain. Sweden, Switzerland, and Russia.

The Needless Kiss was the first CD by Phillip Johnston's Transparent Quartet, the drummerless quartet he formed in the late 1990s after leading The Microscopic Septet and Big Trouble. It was released in 1998 on Koch Jazz, but is now out-of-print, due to the corporate downsizing of that label. In addition to originals by Johnston and pianist Joe Ruddick, the group played distinctive arrangements of tunes by a variety of composers, for instance on this CD, Frederic Chopin & Raymond Scott.

Midland intentionally nods to the wild west with Country music reminiscent of the 1970s and 80s, channeling idols Dwight Yoakam and Willie Nelson, both legends whom they previously opened for on the road. Their 2016 self-titled debut EP was featured in Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly and Billboard and their music video earned them their first CMT Music Awards nomination for Group Video of the Year. ON THE ROCKS is Midland's anticipated first full-length release on Big Machine Records.

"Wet" is an album released by Barbra Streisand in 1979. The album is a concept album of sorts with all the songs referring to, or expressing different interpretations of, water. Wet is also the first and the last word sung on the album. The album was a major success for Barbra Streisand, due largely to the album's #1 hit single, "No More Tears (Enough Is Enough)", a duet with American disco singer Donna Summer which underwent a retitling and change of emphasis in order to qualify under the water theme. The third track on the album, "Splish Splash", is Barbra Streisand's cover of the Bobby Darin classic, which featured background vocals by Toto lead singer Bobby Kimball.
