From the beginnings till 1985 - The band Les Sauterelles stood for the decade of the 60ties, when Switzerland's youth was shaken by the rock'n'roll fever. When in summer 1968 Les Sauterelles ruled the Swiss charts with their hit “Heavenly Club”, this success marked both their climax and end. Often referred as the “Swiss Beatles”, Les Sauterelles had been the undisputed kings of the scene for years. It was their resounding success that caused their downfall in the same year – a pattern that would repeat itself on and on throughout the history of pop and rock music in Switzerland. Differences over the direction in which their music was going and the sobering reality of their daily professional routine had led the group to an impasse. Their breakup heralded a similar fate for most other Swiss “beat bands” who had for years been cruising along in the slipstream of their Anglo-American models, albeit with varying degrees of success.

Superlatives are inadequate for the box record company Universal Music recently released. Two hundred hits on ten CDs, hundreds of hits and a lot of TV and news clips on five DVDs and then another book as reference book. It can not be on. The disadvantage of the Testament of the sixties is that for a hundred euros a hefty investment. The advantage that you are now ready to be a hit with your sixties Collection.

"Restless Breed" is the fourth album by the American heavy metal band Riot, and their first with vocalist Rhett Forrester, released in 1982. Exit vocalist Guy Speranza, who apparently had just become such a problem child in the band due to excessive drug use that he couldn't hack the touring life any longer. Enter new vocalist Rhett Forrester. "Restless Breed" will be available on Digi-CD (2016) with the 6-song "Riot Live" EP from 1982 as bonus as well as on vinyl in three different versions (180 g black/red opaque/violet blue marbeled).

label: JoosTVD Records | Released: March 2005

9th album of Dutch songwriter JoosTVD (The Vanished Dutchman). A lot of styles (jazz, blues, latin, funk) are mixed into a personal sauce. All done with a popsense (hooks and melodies). Especially for all the great singers (heeey Mathilde Santing, do me a favour!) out there who are looking for groovy tunes to complete their repertoire.
