'I Love 00s' celebrates all of the classic records that defined the 'noughties' - a culturally defining period for music in the UK. At a time when dance-music royalty, The Chemical Brothers, Groove Armada, Fatboy Slim, and Eric Prydz were topping the charts with their now iconic classics 'Where's Your Head At', 'I See You Baby' and 'Call On Me', the music that spanned from 2000-2010 set the tone for the century with a whole host of feel-good hits. Raised in Cecilia, Kentucky and now domiciled in Destin, Florida, sax player Michael J Thomas may yet turn out to be the smooth jazz find of 2010. His debut CD, City Beat , which hits the streets on March 2, is a tremendously accomplished piece of work and, given that Thomas writes or co-writes all but one of ten choice tracks, proves also to be a wonderful showcase for his art. Thomas s writing partner is guitarist Shannon Wallace who co- produces and performs with him throughout. Together, with a tight group of backing musicians, they deliver a tremendously commercial collection that has every prospect of doing very well. <P> The album opens with the sophisticatedly cool Midtown Manhattan .

Shemekia Copeland had the advantage of good genes and a strong family name early in her career as the daughter of top-shelf blues guitarist Johnny Copeland, but 17 years after she cut her debut album, she's established that she can more than get by on her own talent and reputation, and 2015's Outskirts of Love (which finds her returning to Alligator Records after a pair of albums for Telarc) shows once again she's one of the strongest and most capable vocalists in the contemporary blues game. Copeland has a solid, expressive voice with plenty of power, she knows how to sell a song without an excess of melodrama, and with producer and songwriter Oliver Wood she's found a creative partnership that serves both sides well.

"Typically Teppo" features the music of the legendary Finnish bassist-composer Teppo Hauta-aho alongside works composed to celebrate his 75th birthday at Teppo-Fest (UK) in May 2016. The international project includes five performers from four countries and composers from six countries in a unique CD which celebrates the music of Teppo Hauta-aho, noting his influence on bassists and composers across the world.
