Biondi surmises that Vivaldi wrote this way in aid of his teaching. There was a desire to promote and develop virtuosity – in his pupils of the Ospedale della Pietà As though the composer wished to draw attention to convention by absenting it from the works; and replacing it with styles and "devices" whose very newness emphasized the essence of the form and of Vivaldi's way of respecting it. Throughout, there is exceptional vigor (even for Vivaldi) and drive in the tutti (rarely unison) writing. Biondi directs Euoropa Galante extremely well to discern, internalize then express the structure (at the movement level) and also the sentencing within passages of each of the musical ideas.

Santana is the primary exponent of Latin-tinged rock, particularly due to its combination of Latin percussion with bandleader Carlos Santana's distinctive, high-pitched lead guitar playing. With 1993's Let's Set The Record Straight, 1994's Forbidden Zone and 1995's From the Street, Tom Coster was hell-bent for fusion – he came across as someone who was determined to make exactly the kind of music he wanted, and if that meant little or no airplay on NAC radio, so be it. But when From Me to You was recorded in 1990, the keyboardist was still recording commercial projects that favored pop-jazz/crossover over fusion.

David Wilson lives and performs in the Los Angeles area. He has been perfecting his craft on the violin for many years. His work can be heard on several recordings by Henry Mancini including a featured performance on the soundtrack to the movie "Switch". Cafe Europa is David's fifth recording for Swallowtail Records. David Wilson is an American-born violinist and recording artist, known for his stylized arrangements of popular music and original compositions. Wilson began his professional recording career in 1987, performing nightly in Beverly Hills, California. Here he performed for Hollywood celebrities and political figures.

Pergolesi’s comic opera Lo frate ’nnamorato (The Brother in Love) from 1732 was his ticket to the Royal Chapel in Naples. Its huge success was due to the beautiful score, showing Pergolesi’s talent for opera compositions, and the exquisite Libretto by Gennarantonio Federico. Lo frate ‘nnamorato especially owes its wit and exuberance to the comic resources of improvisational theatre, which is refl ected in the narrative structure and relationships between the dramatis personae. Love triangles, marriage plans that come to nothing, intrigues and more lead the opera along to the unsuspected outcome.
