Evolution is the fourth album (second published worldwide) by the American vocalist, pianist and songwriter Oleta Adams and was released in 1993. The album is the follow up to Adams' worldwide hit album Circle of One and is fully produced by Stewart Levine. Like its predecessor, Evolution consists of songs with a mix of jazz, soul, pop and gospel. Evolution features three cover versions: the James Taylor song "Don't Let Me Be Lonely Tonight", Billy Joel's "New York State of Mind" and Ivan Lins' "Evolution". Adams wrote six of the twelve album tracks, and it also features a song written by songwriter Diane Warren. Evolution entered the top 10 in the UK Albums Chart. However, without the aid of a big hit single, the album dropped quickly and only stayed in the charts for seven weeks. In the US, the album peaked at #67 and stayed only 13 weeks in the charts. It had more success in continental Europe, most notably in the Netherlands where it peaked at #6 and stayed in the chart for almost a year.

Esperanza Spalding presents Emily's D+Evolution, a rekindling of her childhood interest in theater, poetry and movement, which delves into a broader concept of performance. Taking a new approach to her on-stage persona, the remarkable Spalding taps into new creative energy, delivering musical vignettes inspired during a "sleepless night of full moon inspiration." As she puts it, "Emily is my middle name, and I'm using this fresh persona as my inner navigator. This project is about going back and reclaiming un-cultivated curiosity, and using it as a compass to move forward and expand. My hope for this group is to create a world around each song, there are a lot of juicy themes and stories in the music. We will be staging the songs as much as we play them, using characters, video, and the movement of our bodies".

The album title, pronounced "D plus evolution," is derived from both Esperanza’s middle name and the spirit muse that flows through this brilliantly urgent, vivacious album. With six tracks co-produced by Tony Visconti (David Bowie) and drawing, at times, from diverse wellsprings ranging from Cream to Shostakovich to St. Vincent, this is a kaleidoscopic project; raw, honest and luminous. Spalding's complex but immediate compositions were committed to tape partially live and partially in front of a control room packed full of 20 or more invited guests. This deluxe edition contains two bonus tracks.

The Evolution Of Robin Thicke is an album by the son of Alan Thicke and Gloria Loring, Robin Thicke. Released on 3 October, 2006, this was his second full length effort and features the hit songs "Wanna Love U Girl" and "Lost Without U". Interscope is a melon as well as label.

Kaveh Rastegar is a bassist, multi instrumentalist, producer and recording artist who has collaborated with a long list of artists. As a bassist, Rastegar is best known as a founding member of the genre-blurring Grammy Award-nominated quintet Kneebody. He’s also toured the world with superstars like John Legend (and also appeared as his fictional counterpart in the beloved musical La La Land), recorded with artists like Shania Twain, Beck, Ringo Starr, Colin Hay and served as musical director for songwriter/hitmaker Sia, and works with R&B sensation Sabrina Claudio as both songwriter and co-producer. As a songwriter he’s penned songs with and for heavy hitters like Bruno Mars, Ceelo Green, Meshell Ndegeocello, De La Soul, Dawn Richard, Kimbra, Marsha Ambrosious and Ciara among many others.
