This is one of Moondog's finest albums. An eccentric mix of moods ranging from warm and energetic pieces (my favourite is Chaconne in G) to solemn organ pieces which to me sound like quirky Bach.

Originally recorded in Paris at a pair of two-day sessions in 1977 and then released as a BarClay Records LP that same year, this fine duo set features the sturdy soul-jazz organ of Rhoda Scott paired with Kenny Clarke on drums, and together they create a remarkably full sound. It is worth noting that two of the best numbers here are Scott originals, "Bitter Street," which opens the album, and the funky "Toe Jam."

On Earth as It Is in Heaven is the third album by the rock band Angel. It is the last album with Mickie Jones who had been the band's bass guitar player since its formation. It was produced by Eddie Kramer and recorded in an actual castle in the Hollywood Hills…

The Sex Pistols were soon to release their wildly anticipated first album, Never Mind the Bollocks Here's the Sex Pistols, when a mysterious bootleg, Spunk, appeared in hipper record shops. As it happened, Spunk collected the original demo recordings of the Sex Pistols' best-known songs, as recorded by their soundman Dave Goodman and featuring original bassist Glen Matlock before he was sacked in favor of Sid Vicious…
