This release from Canadian drummer Flo Mounier is one of the first, (and still one of the only) educational sources around at the moment on "Speed Metal", "Grindcore" and "Death Metal" drumming which is a growing genre of music. George Kollias (born August 30, 1977 in Korinthos, Greece) is a Greek heavy metal drummer best known for his work with American death metal band Nile. He is the first of their four drummers to perform every song on more than one full length album (handling drum duties so far on Annihilation of the Wicked and Ithyphallic). He is a native of Greece (born in Korinthos). Some of his favorite bands are Metallica, Kreator, Morbid Angel and Behemoth. He started playing drums at the age of 12 and some years later started drum lessons with John Stavropoulos, a well known Greek drummer. In addition to being the drummer of Nile he also teaches drums at the Modern Music School in Athens.
He previously drummed for Sickening Horror, a brutal death metal band. He also used to be in the Greek melodic death metal band Nightfall, but left the band in 2005 to join Nile.
George Kollias made an instructional drumming DVD called "Intense Metal Drumming" that was released in July 2008
