4.5 stars really!!!!
As I explained in the BoF review, the tensions between Hammer and Goodman on one side and McLaughlin and Cobham on the other, started destroying the group and taking into the abyss the third album’s recording sessions with the group.
Billy Cobham - Spectrum (1973) US Specialty Pressing - LP/FLAC In 24bit/96kHz

Essential: a masterpiece of progressive rock music
There’s no question that Billy Cobham is one of the most talented and influencial drummers on the planet. I had high hopes going into this one that it would be another “Birds Of Fire” shred-fest.
The Flock - The Flock (1969) Original US Terre Haute Pressing - LP/FLAC In 24bit/96kHz

As I already said before in a Darryl Way’s Wolf review, bands who play simultaneously electric violin and electric guitar are rare; The Flock belong to this select group.

I knew nothing about The Flock when this LP was released, but I bought it since I thought the cover promised a great album.

Gentle Giant - Octopus (1972) NL 1st Pressing - LP/FLAC In 24bit/96kHz

Gentle Giant ‎- Octopus
Vinyl | LP Cover (1:1) | FLAC + cue | 24bit/96kHz & 16bit/44kHz | 800mb & 200mb
Label: Vertigo/6360 080 | Released: 1972 | Genre: Symphonic-Rock

Essential: a masterpiece of progressive rock music.
“Octopus” is a fitting title, since the band is playing here like they’ve got extra arms. I have yet to hear any GG album so skillfully wrought as “Octopus”; if you’re approaching the band from the outside, this is definitely the right appetizer.
Gentle Giant - In A Glass House (1973) UK 1st Pressing - LP/FLAC In 24bit/96kHz

Gentle Giant ‎- In A Glass House
Vinyl | LP Cover (1:1) | FLAC + cue | 24bit/96kHz & 16bit/44kHz | 800mb & 200mb
Label: WWA Records/WWA 002 | Released: 1973 | Genre: Symphonic-Rock

Essential: A masterpiece of progressive rock music
I’m really speechless. Sometimes, I feel ambarassed by my lack of mind-opening. Once again, after 3 (the magic number) good listen at the album, I do not regret to have purchased this BRILLANT record. Gentle Giant is a very respectable, yet ‘easy listening’ prog band. But this time, it’s getting crazier.

In a Glass House deserves a place in your shelf as Moving Pictures (Rush) or Close to the Edge (Yes).

Essential: A masterpiece of progressive rock music.
THE POWER AND THE GLORY is one of Gentle Giant’s more “difficult” albums, there’s no doubt about that. It’s also one of my favourites from this highly inventive and influential English prog band.
Gentle Giant - Free Hand (1975) US Jacksonville Pressing - LP/FLAC In 24bit/96kHz

Gentle Giant - Free Hand
Vinyl | LP Cover (1:1) | FLAC + cue | 24bit/96kHz & 16bit/44kHz | 1300mb & 400mb
Mastered By Gene Thompson & Ken Perry
Label: Capitol Records/SN-160 | Released: 1975 | This Issue: 1980 | Genre: Symphonic-Rock

Essential: A masterpiece of progressive rock music.
Admittedly, many prog rock fans with otherwise excellent taste in music find Gentle Giant rather hard to get into. Their music certainly is challenging, and very varied in flavour.

Label: Very Good Records/VGR 02-001 | Released: 1976 | This Issue: 2002 | Genre: Symphonic-Rock

Another unknown but very good symphonic album. Point of Eruption is the only release from Troya. The music sounds both melancholic and space, and is mainly guitar and mellotron driven.
