Aurio Corrá: "I started my piano studies at the age of four. At eighteen years of age I was educated in classical music at the Sao Paulo Conservatory. Later, I dedicated my atttention to the study of Jazz and contemporary music. I studied the viola and later I moved on to the guitar. In 2001 I started to study the soprano saxophone, influenced by the sound of Paul Winter, and with Ivan Meyer as my teacher, continuing until 2003. This recording of Der Rosenkavalier captures the intimacy of the Glyndebourne opera house preserving what is, without doubt, an engrossing performance with notable contributions from key soloists at poignant stages of their careers. This 1965 production, first staged by Glyndebourne in 1959, was not without its casting complications. Baron Ochs was to be Manfred Jungwirth but only sang two performances due to ill health and was replaced by Otto Edelmann.

The Orb virtually invented the electronic genre known as ambient house, resurrecting slower, more soulful rhythms and providing a soundtrack for early-morning ravers once the clubs closed their doors. Frontman Dr. Alex Paterson's formula was quite simple: he slowed down the rhythms of classic Chicago house and added synth work and effects inspired by '70s ambient pioneers Brian Eno and Tangerine Dream. To make the whole a bit more listenable - as opposed to danceable - obscure vocal samples were looped, usually providing a theme for tracks that lacked singing.
