A record about overcoming being overcome with emotion and anxiety, Face The Wall is a series of confessionals from a budding Gen Z pop star. Produced by Cameron Hale (Claud, Khalid), and mixed by Miro Mackie (Wallows, St Vincent, The Neighborhood), the new album from Jordana is a ten-song collection of indie rock romps, pop punk freak outs, & understated balladry.

Curated by Eyeless In Gaza, and accompanied by Martyn Bates’ song-by-song reflections on their work, ‘Skeletal Framework’ presents the band’s entire Cherry Red output re-cast as five themed suites (or perhaps even playlists), each reflecting one of their many sides. The group’s best-known work sits comfortably alongside deeper album cuts and rarities with interesting results, as the duo guide us back and forth across recordings spanning almost six years of one of Cherry Red’s most distinctive artists.

Throughout the 70s, Folk Heritage and its offshoots released limited-edition pressings of albums by various bands and singers, most of whom were active on the thriving north-west England folk club circuit. With most releases limited to 200 copies or less, and only available from the folk club where the performer was resident, many of the albums have gone on to become hugely collectable. ‘Before The Day Is Done’ assembles the cream of the label’s roster during its late 60s/early 70s heyday.

'Los Angeles Forum - April 26, 1969' presents an extraordinary live performance by the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Before a raucous, sold-out house, Hendrix, drummer Mitch Mitchell and bassist Noel Redding tore through a unique set featuring highlights such as 'I Don't Live Today', 'Purple Haze', 'Red House' and an astonishing medley of 'Voodoo Child (Slight Return)' and Cream's 'Sunshine of Your Love'. This pristine recording, newly mixed by Hendrix's long-time engineer Eddie Kramer, captures the original Jimi Hendrix Experience in their unrivalled, peak form. A portion of this performance was previously included as part of a short-lived Westwood One radio documentary box set 'Lifelines 1990-1992', but has been unavailable in any form for two decades. The CD release with a 24 page booklet, complete with liner notes from ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons who witnessed the show first hand, gives this seminal performance its proper platform, presenting the complete performance mixed directly from the original eight-track master tapes.

This collection of tracks, part of the "History of Soul" series, illustrates the depth and breadth of the music produced in the city between 1958 and 1962. All the familiar names are here: Irma Thomas, Aaron Neville, Eddie Boe, Bobby Marchan, but so are the lesser-known but incredible Ray Washington, Berna Dean, Martha Carter and Chuck Carbo. So get ready to be blown away by some of the most breathtaking, deep and touching sounds that have ever come from Louisiana and penetrate the soul as we know it.
