Based on the classic book of the same name by Antoine de Saint Exupéry, the fable tells the story of a pilot (played by Richard Kiley) forced to make an emergency landing in the Sahara Desert. There he is befriended by a young boy, the Little Prince from Asteroid B-612. In the days that follow, the Pilot hears about his past and various journeys throughout the Solar System. As he travels through space, the Little Prince encounters several strange grown-ups on different planetoids, all with a skewed way of looking at life. But it is not until he finally reaches Earth, that the Little Prince learns his most important life lessons of all (mainly from the Fox played by Gene Wilder, and the Snake played by Bob Fosse). These lessons the Little Prince shares with the Pilot, before he dies.

En 1974, Stanley Donen décide pour la première fois de traduire sur grand écran l'une des plus belles oeuvres de la littérature française. L'idée était ambitieuse. Mais sa parfaite maîtrise de la caméra, l'inspiration des comédiens, la musique enchanteresse et les décors féeriques ont contribué à faire de cette tentative un authentique chef-d'oeuvre de poésie.

The film opens in a California forest as a group of alien botanists collect flora samples. U.S. government agents appear and the aliens flee in their spaceship, leaving one of their own behind in their haste. The scene shifts to a suburban California home, where a boy named Elliott plays servant to his older brother, Michael, and his friends. As he fetches pizza, Elliott discovers the stranded alien, who promptly flees. Despite his family's disbelief, Elliott leaves Reese's Pieces candy in the forest to lure it into his bedroom. Before he goes to bed, Elliott notices the alien imitating his movements.

Une soucoupe volante atterrit en pleine nuit près de Los Angeles. Quelques extraterrestres, envoyés sur Terre en mission d'exploration botanique, sortent de l'engin, mais un des leurs s'aventure au-delà de la clairière où se trouve la navette. Celui-ci se dirige alors vers la ville. C'est sa première découverte de la civilisation humaine. Bientôt traquée par des militaires et abandonnée par les siens, cette petite créature apeurée se nommant E.T. se réfugie dans une résidence de banlieue. Elliot, un garçon de dix ans, le découvre et lui construit un abri dans son armoire. Rapprochés par un échange télépathique, les deux êtres ne tardent pas à devenir amis. Aidé par sa soeur Gertie et son frère aîné Michael, Elliot va alors tenter de garder la présence d'E.T. secrète.

The movie begins at a blood bank. A homeless man walks into the clinic and sits by another homeless man (Luke Goss) with a scar running down his chin. He sees that the scarred man looks nervous and tries to relax him by telling him that they pay well there. The other man still looks uneasy as the nurse takes him into the clinic. They walk down a very dark and deserted hallway until they reach a room with several people waiting. The man starts to panic and is forced into the medical chair in the center of the room. A vampire starts a blood draining device and is about to suck out the homeless man's blood when the man's whimpering turns into derisive laughter. The homeless man drains the blood of the female guard, and takes several bullets near the heart without serious harm before hurling the second guard against the wall. Grabbing the hapless vampire, the man's jaws open up and he looks at the surveillance camera and speaks in the vampire language, "Vampires, I hate vampires."

Blade, un être mi-homme mi-vampire, s'est juré d'exterminer jusqu'au dernier ces créatures assoiffées de sang qui ont tué sa mère et l'ont contaminé. Epaulé par Whistler, son mentor, il est bientôt rejoint par Scud, un informaticien fidèle à sa cause depuis que Blade l'a sauvé des crocs des vampires. Face à eux, un groupe de vampires d'élite connu sous le nom de Bloodpack. Dirigée par la jeune Nyssa, une experte en arts martiaux, cette équipe s'entraîne dans un seul but : tuer Blade. Mais les priorités changent. Une nouvelle menace vient de faire son apparition sous les traits de Jared Nomak. Ce dernier est l'hôte d'un virus hautement contagieux et mortel pour l'homme et les vampires. Les deux races vont devoir unir leurs forces pour éliminer Jarek et les Reapers, une nouvelle espèce de créatures qu'il a engendrée.

The film opens with a montage of protests regarding the Civil Rights Movement and Vietnam War, before cutting to Raoul Duke (Depp) and Dr. Gonzo (Del Toro) speeding down the desert of Nevada. Duke, under the influence of mescaline, complains of hallucinating a swarm of giant bats, before going through the pair's inventory of psychoactive drugs. Shortly afterward, the duo stop to pick up a young hitchhiker (Tobey Maguire), and explain what they are doing. Duke has been assigned by an unnamed magazine to travel to Las Vegas and cover the Mint 400 motorcycle race. However, they have also decided to take advantage of this trip by purchasing countless drugs, and rent a brand new Chevy Impala convertible. The young man soon becomes terrified of the drug-filled antics of the duo, and flees on foot. Trying to reach Vegas before the hitchhiker can go to the police, Gonzo gives Duke a tab of "Sunshine Acid", then informs him that there is little chance of making it before the drug kicks in. By the time they reach the strip, Duke is in full throes of his trip, and barely makes it through the check-in; all the while hallucinating that the hotel clerk is a moray eel, and that his fellow bar patrons are hideous lizards in the depths of an orgy.
