In fact Underground records can be credited with scoring House music's first #1 hit with Steve 'Silk' Hurley's infectious "Jack Your Body" which hit the #1 slot in the U.K. at the beginning of 1987 and was probably responsible for spreading the growth of House music throughout Europe. Teenage Depression is the debut studio album by English rock band Eddie and the Hot Rods. It reached number 43 on the UK Albums Chart. The album's title track reached number 35 on the UK Singles Chart and was featured in the 1979 film Rock 'n' Roll High School. Teenage Depression has been cited as a "missing link" between pub rock and punk rock, owing to its fast and hard-hitting R&B sound showing the attitude of a punk band. In 2000, a reissue was released with 12 additional tracks.

Girlschool, one of the first all-female heavy metal bands to find fame, debuted in 1978. Girlschool have toured with the likes of Motörhead, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden and many other influential rock bands during their illustrious career. 2008 brings about the 30th anniversary of Girlschool and they are commemorating it with the release of their 30th Anniversary album entitled Legacy.
