"Energy" is the 5th studio album by The Pointer Sisters, released in 1978 on the Planet label. After a brief split following sister Bonnie's departure from the group, a musically reinvented and recharged Pointer Sisters returned composed of Ruth, Anita and June. Their first album for Planet, this was also the first album produced by Richard Perry. The record spawned a #2 pop smash (and Gold-certified single) with a cover of Bruce Springsteen's "Fire". "Happiness" also scored on the U.S. pop Top 40. "Energy" became the group's first Gold-certified release since 1974's "That's a Plenty".

The Anton Chekhov Collection from BBC Video is a six disc set that mines their extensive archives of works created by British master thespians performing the greatest works of the Russian playwright's career. From 1959 to 1991, these plays are presented with excellent production values and sure-handed direction. The transfers are full screen and sometimes spotty in quality, but it is amazing to see these legendary pieces performed by the likes of Anthony Hopkins and Judi Dench. The result is over eighteen hours of sublime theatre loaded down with significant extras and supplemental material.

The Pursuit of Love is one of the funniest and most biting novels about love and growing up ever written, by the author of Love in a Cold Climate… Oh, the boredom of waiting to grow up! Longing for love, obsessed with weddings and sex, Linda and her sisters and cousin Fanny fantasise about the perfect lover. But finding Mr Right proves difficult, and Linda must bear marriage with both Tony the stuffy Tory MP and gorgeously handsome but humourless communist Christian before finding real passion in war-torn Paris with Fabrice.

"I Love You Too Much" is a tribute to the many aspects of love. The songs describe the initial pining and longing stages of love, the different types of rejection and separation and the final reward. The set, with some humor, weaves in the direction of this reward, love's fulfillment while celebrating individual growth through relationship. "Can't We Friends," every lover's nightmare, or "Weep No More," a rejected lover's struggle to heal, reveal that finding love has not changed much over the years. The title track, "I Love You Too Much," was a particularly appreciated discovery.
