This unique set finds Dizzy Gillespie (who was nearly age 65) sharing the frontline with the great Cuban trumpeter Arturo Sandoval. Backed by a fine Finnish rhythm section, Sandoval and the great trumpeter are both in good spirits playing five of Gillespie's originals including "Wheatleigh Hall" and "And Then She Stopped." Considering that it would be another decade before Sandoval was able to defect from Cuba (and finally play the music he wanted), this recording is of great historic value.

Itsenäistymisemme kynnyksellä Jääkärien Marssi – runo salakuljetettiin värikkäiden vaiheiden saattelemana Saksasta säveltäjämestari Jean Sibeliukselle. Sibeliuksen käsissä runo sai nykyisin tuntemamme sävelasun. V.A. Koskenniemi puolestaan kirjoitti sanoituksen Jean Sibeliuksen Finlandia-hymniin. Molempien laulujen kantaesittäjä oli Laulu-Miehet.

Cold War On The Rocks presents 20 tracks from the history of Finnish disco and early electronic music. The journey goes from orchestral disco to experimental electronic sounds and back. It includes lone 7” singles from relatively unknown performers, interesting album cuts from artists who are better known in completely different musical genres, and also a few electronic artists whose work is rather underrated.

BURNING POINT was founded in the Fall of 1999 in Oulu, Finland. After the recordings of only one promotional CD, the band managed to get a record deal with a well-known German based metal label, Limb Music (LMP), who released the albums "Salvation By Fire" (2001) and "Feeding The Flames" (2003). Despite massive legal problems which ended up in fights through lawyers and the loss of their record deal, the band managed to get live slots on some big festivals such as Tuska Metal Festival and Sweden Rock…
