Flic ou voyou/Cop or Hood (1979)

When the local police inspector was found dead in a prostitute's house, police division commissioner Stan Borowitz (Jean-Paul Belmondo) is sent to investigate the situation. Posing as the prostitute's long-lost brother "Antonio Cerruti," he discovers a mare's nest of police corruption. In fact, in this comedy thriller the whole town is corrupt. If they were closely examined, Stan's methods for pursuing this investigation might embarrass the police. For instance, he drives into a criminal's house in a fancy, expensive race car. In another incident, he callously blows up a casino owned by Musard (Georges Geret), one of the town's crime bosses. On that occasion, he first forces Musard to remove his clothes, and the poor criminal watches his casino explode from across the square while standing naked in a phone booth. Meanwhile, Stan seduces the lovely Edmonde (Marie Laforet). This box-office smash was the first of four wildly successful collaborations between Belmondo and director Georges Lautner.

A policeman was killed in Nice, and Paris sends a secret agent to investigate the case. The detective is to stop the corruption among the policemen of Nice by methods that are far from being orthodox. He fights a lot with much gusto and punishes the criminals unmercifully. Belmondo plays this leading part with his inimitable charm, humour and drive.
Le commissaire Borowitz est envoyé à Nice pour s'infiltrer dans le milieu de la pègre locale et anéantir deux bandes rivales en les montant l'une contre l'autre. Il aura fort à faire, surtout qu'il doit endiguer les élans amoureux d'Edmonde, une romancière, et surveiller sa turbulente petite fille Charlotte. Attention! Le fichier aussi contient un tres interessant entretien avec Georges Lautner avant le film.

Pour un coup d’essai, l’Inspecteur de la Mer, premier roman de Grisolia fut un coup de maître. Pas seulement parce qu’il obtint le Prix Mystère de la Critique ou fut adapté au cinéma (avec Belmondo) mais surtout parce que ses meilleurs lecteurs détectèrent illico en Grisolia un digne pendant de McBain, Harrington et autres Sjöwall et Wahlöö, un formidable spécialiste de la « police procedural » à la française, bref un écrivain qui donnait des lettres de noblesse à la littérature populaire.

Double or Nothing is the fourth album by Lani Hall.
Lani Hall (born November 6, 1945) is an American singer, lyricist, author, and the wife of Herb Alpert. From 1966 to 1971 she performed as lead vocalist for Sérgio Mendes & Brasil '66. In 1972 Hall released her first solo album, Sun Down Lady. She may be best known, however, for providing the most-recognizable (female) face and (female) vocal signature sound to Sérgio's group during her tenure there, and for her rendition of the theme song to the 1983 James Bond film, Never Say Never Again, with its accompanying video, in which she prominently appears. In 1986 she was awarded her first Grammy for Es Fácil Amar, as "Best Latin Pop Performance."
After that year, Hall largely retired, resurfacing in 1998 with the solo album Brasil Nativo. She has recorded more than 22 albums in three different languages and has released three albums on which she performs alongside her husband, Herb Alpert: Anything Goes, I Feel You and Steppin' Out. Hall received her second Grammy Award in 2013 as the producer for the album Steppin' Out.
