«Messages from Afar» is a special concept album, that`s divided into 2 chapters – 1st by Karfagen and 2nd by Sunchild (part 2 to follow in 2018). It`s our hommage to the Art Rock as we know it from the heart of the 20th century. It`s a solid concept, statement in a modern Prog scene. Fans of Camel, Pink Floyd, Genesis, Happy the Man, Yes and other classic bands will be really at home with this two release! Once again the fabulous artwork is painted by Igor Sokolskiy, that fantastically compliments the fairy mood of the music, where Antony`s lush keyboards texture and solos meet the outstanding virtuosity of Max Velychko`s guitars.

Celebrated for his innovative programming and award-winning recordings, Icelandic pianist Víkingur Ólafsson is offering a window into his musical life story with his new album, From Afar. The highly personal double album reflects Ólafsson’s musical DNA, from childhood memories growing up in Iceland to his international career and contemporary inspirations.

This is the second in a series of albums by singer/keyboard player Antony Kalugin, but while the first 'Messages From Afar: First Contact' was by Karfagen (their ninth studio album in all), 'Messages From Afar: The Division and Illusion of Time' is by Sunchild (their eighth). Kalugin writes a lot of material, and he uses his more song-based with Sunchild, and the rest with Karfagen. But, if that isn't confusing enough, apart from saxophonist Michail Sidorenko, all of Karfagen who played on the first 'Messages' album are also involved with this one, along with a few additional musicians. Although one may guess this album began life in Eastern Europe due to the slightly accented vocals, for the most part this feels like a very British album indeed. Camel and Pink Floyd are obvious influences…
