Kashif was obviously the star of the show on G Force, and the same thing is true of Kenny G's third album Gravity. With the R&B singer/producer/composer once again serving as G's executive producer, G delivers another generally decent urban contemporary-oriented effort.

Great interpretations of Bee Gees classics! For fans who like covers that are carbon copies of the originals. But if you enjoy hearing Gibb songs reinterpreted and performed by incredibly talented artists from all walks of life and genres, then you will appreciate this fantastic tribute. The bonus disc is great, the last "hidden" track is especially heart warming. I love the Bee Gees, and I love this album.

Much like G. Love & Special Sauce, the New York trio known as Fun Lovin' Criminals hit the alternative airwaves with a blend of hip-hop beats, alternative style, and bluesy rhythms. The group was formed in 1993 by bassist Brian Leiser (Fast) and drummer Steve Borgovini, who had met in Syracuse while going to school; the pair formed a techno group but later moved back to New York City, where they hooked up with vocalist/guitarist Huey Morgan.

G.E.N.E. (Grooving Electronic Natural Environments) is a Canadian New Age instrumental band. The idea of this world-famous project was born in June 1987, during a conversation under the stars around a campfire and tents on the shore of the lake in the Canadian woods. That night, Cleo de Mallio took the first steps in a musical odyssey that is still not completed. The conversation was carried on the nature and technology, the world and machines, the new digital sound and lofty emotions. Father of the project and the producer is Michael Weisser - founding member of the German band Software, one of the disciples of the legendary Klaus Schulze, the founder of the company's IC/Digit music, on which he produced G.E.N.E. and Software…

VA - Trojan: A Jamaican Story Box Set (2001)
Roots Reggae / Early Reggae / Jamaica Ska / Dub | MP3 CBR 320 kbps | 3,71 Gb
Label: Trojan Records | Release Year: 2001

This whopping 30-CD box set gathers together the best of Trojan's three-disc box set series. Included are the Ska, DJ, Dub, Instrumentals, Jamaican Superstars, Lovers, Producer Series, Rocksteady, Roots, and Tribute to Bob Marley volumes, each of which can be found under Trojan Box Set for their individual reviews. What's lacking here is a booklet with additional notes and information; the bulk seems to demand some extra coverage and care, yet all that's here are the original notes of each volume – only as much text as can fit on the back of the CD sleeves. From a music standpoint, however, this box is excellent; a truly diverse and comprehensive collection. Of the 500 songs, less than ten reappear on another volume, so you get a more-than-satisfying amount of music spanning the history of the Trojan label.

Two CD set. First CD release of breakthrough debut album outside Japan. Includes numerous major Jamaican hits from 1973/4. After making his recording debut in the late 60s, Gregory Isaacs recorded for a number of leading Jamaican record producers without ever achieving significant sustained success. His fortunes changed dramatically early in 1974, however, after he began collaborating with Alvin 'G. G. ' Ranglin, who over the previous six years had established a reputation as one of the island's most respected hit-makers. The partnership immediately paid dividends with the release of the singer's smash hit, 'Love Is Overdue', the popularity of which spurred Ranglin to record have the singer record his hugely popular debut long player. The LP provides the focus of this 2CD set, which also includes the remainder of Isaacs's recordings with Ranglin from the period, along with the very best of the producer's output from 1973, featured on disc 2. With 14 tracks unavailable on any format since their original release, this is a crucial collection for fans of the Cool Ruler and classic early 70s reggae sounds. First ever reissue of 2 iconic Trojan albums. Numerous tracks new to CD. Includes some of the biggest reggae hits from the early 1970s. Originally released by Trojan Records in 1972, the ‘Reggae Reggae (Vol. Two)’ LP is perhaps best-known by record buyers for its iconic sleeve, depicting a group of young suedeheads set against the very un-tropical backdrop of Brixton railway arches. But the collection offered considerably more than simply a striking cover, for the music within the grooves of the record that lay within ranks alongside the finest reggae of the period. Comprising a dozen tracks produced by the increasingly influential Alvin ‘G.G.’ Ranglin, the album is a mixture of superior vocal, DJ, and instrumental tracks, performed by some of the most talented and popular Jamaican artists of the day, notably Dennis Brown, The Ethiopians, Dennis Alcapone and The Maytones.
