Garth Ennis

is a comic book series created by writer Garth Ennis and artist Steve Dillon, published by the American comic book label Vertigo imprint of DC Comics, with painted covers by Glenn Fabry. The series consists of 75 issues in total — 66 regular, monthly issues, five one-shot specials and a four-issue limited series. The final monthly issue, number 66, was released in July 2000. At the time of its run it was — and still is — generally considered as one of the greatest comics titles of all time. It set the reputation of Irish comics writer Garth Ennis and firmly established him in the firmament of the all-time comics greats. Most highly recommended.

Just a Pilgrim is a five-issue comic book limited series written by Garth Ennis, with art by Carlos Ezquerra, and published by Black Bull, the short-lived comics publishing division of Wizard Entertainment, in 2001.
The title character (never named, simply called Pilgrim) was a Green Beret prior to the burn. During one mission, he and his comrades were left adrift at sea in a lifeboat, and forced to resort to cannibalism to survive, with Pilgrim being the only survivor by the time help arrived. He was exonerated, but he had developed a taste for human flesh, and continued the practice after he escaped. He was eventually caught by the authorities. During his imprisonment, he was routinely visited by a priest, and eventually accepted God…
