After the sensational success of his gold album "Virtuoso" and platinum album "Encore" released the 28-year-old violin virtuoso David Garrett, now his first live DVD, "David Garrett Live - In Concert & In Private". In addition to the classics of rock music, great melodies of the classics and world-renowned film music can be found on the DVD extra eight previously unreleased tracks by the star violinist, like "Smile," "A Whole New World" and "Volare."

Internationally acclaimed violinist David Garrett has announced his new album, Alive – My Soundtrack , will be released on 9 October 2020. The new recording is a personal selection of his favourite soundtrack music. Alive – My Soundtrack features David Garrett’s interpretations of great movie, TV and game music. He takes us on a journey through the exciting world of Hollywood without forgetting his classical roots.

Though it was recorded live at New York's jazz emporium, Iridium, Detroit born saxophonist Kenny Garrett makes a return home of sorts with Sketches of MD, his debut on the Motor City's own Mack Avenue Records. His quartet here, with bassist Nat Reeves, pianist/organist Benito Gonzalez, and drummer Jamire Williams, may not possess the star power of some of his studio albums, but this band is more than up for the gig. In addition, saxophonist Pharoah Sanders reprises his role from Beyond the Wall from 2006 as Garrett's foil, creating sparks aplenty.

This concert special was taped before a live audience at Berlin's open air Wuhlheide Theater. David Garrett has touched hearts and astounded audiences around the world by carving out a unique and wholly new artistic path. In a thrilling performance that moves all ages, the young German violinist weaves classical standards like Vivaldi's works with rock and pop hits from the likes of The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith and Nirvana…

This is the first live album of this Canadian guitar virtuoso with the wonderful mellow baritone voice (mindful of foggy nights on the West Coast). Amos Garrett and his band, the Eh Team, are in great shape here, just moving along and laying down a very satisfying and moving groove. The many forms of the blues - from laid-back big-band jump blues to the big-city Chicago sound, country blues, and rip-out-the-stops electric blues - are all displayed here, with Garrett's rich voice and stunning guitar work leading everything along. This is no pick-up band. After playing together for ten years, their grown-together familiarity is apparent all throughout the disc, and they also get their individual chances to shine in many places…

On July 1, 1991 Miles Davis played the opening night of the annual Jazz à Vienne Festival in southeastern France. His lineup included saxophonist Kenny Garrett, keyboardist Deron Johnson, drummer Ricky Wellman, bassist Richard Patterson, and "lead bassist" Foley (Joseph McCreary, Jr.). The latter was so designated because the former Mint Condition bassist tuned his custom-made instrument an octave higher, allowing him to emulate a lead guitarist. While Davis' final recordings for Warner Bros. have been subject to debate, this previously unissued performance places his final musical thinking in proper context. Performed less than 90 days before his death, the concert showcases a seasoned band playing an expertly hybridized meld of jazz, funk, and R&B.
